The houses of Parliament in the Hague

Holland is not the name of the country but the name of two of the provinces; North Holland where Amsterdam is situated and South Holland. Both provinces will be visited.

Leaving Amsterdam the trip will take you southwards. Our first stop shall be in Aalsmeer, where a visit will be paid to the biggest flower auction in the world. Sunday this is replaced by a visit to a clog factory. Then passing through land which was reclaimed in the seventeenth and nineteenth century you will arrive in Rotterdam, the biggest harbour of the world and the most modern city of the Netherlands.

After that the tour will bring you to Delft, the royal city where a visit will be made to a Delft Blue pottery. Next the bus will take you downtown for free time for lunch, shopping and sightseeing. Afterwards we will go to The Hague; seat of government and court.

In the Hague we will have a city tour by bus, passing by Parliament, the International Court of Justice, Scheveningen; the beach and we will visit Madurodam, the Netherlands in miniature. When heading back to Amsterdam, we will pass by Wassenaar, a residential area for the rich and famous.
